Is my vulva normal?
This is a question that occupies many peoples minds on a daily basis. What is normal in terms of vulva anatomy and where can I find information on the subject?
Thinking about our modern-day technologies and the quick and simple access to education and resources, these questions might seem trivial at first. Unfortunately, the reality is much more complicated and women and people worldwide are convinced that their vulvas deviate from what is normal and what is beautiful.

Vulvarium wants to change that by directly challenging negative, sexualized or simply incomplete representations of this body part by creating and displaying a comprehensive, inclusive and natural collection of vulvas.

Through a process of taking an exact copy of the participants vulva, the subsequent manufacture of the statue and the publication of images of the finished product, a collection of vulvas is created and made accessible to educate and to break the taboo and mystery around this amazing body part.

The vulva statue itself is then given to the participant and displaying their decorative vulva statue at home will encourage many thought processes and conversations. Seeing the statue on a daily basis will certainly start a process of self-awareness and a desire to understand the own body and vulva better, so that one thing becomes very clear: Every vulva is different, every vulva is normal and every vulva is beautiful.
