Rules of conduct and dress code

How should I behave at Cap d’Agde

On the surface, Cap d’Agde doesn’t differ from other naturist camp sites or beaches in its code of conduct. But it is important to note that sex and casually indulging in erotic activities is more intensely celebrated in designated places. You’ll find out what you need to keep in mind here.

Rules of conduct for Cap d’Agde

#1 Avoid sex in public

Sex in public is generally prohibited at Cap d’Agde – with the unofficial(!) exception of the “Bay of Pigs”, where the police have long since given up trying to stop the activities. Instead, experienced and attentive visitors make sure that anyone who has no business being on the beach doesn’t end up there by accident. Nevertheless, the rule is that sex is tolerated but not legal. This means there is always a risk of being fined by the coastal police at the Bay of Pigs.

Keep in mind that the dunes behind the Bay of Pigs are an official nature reserve and are monitored by the government. Although this site is popular for gangbangs, bukkake, gay cruising and the like, it is prohibited to even set foot in the area. Those who get caught face stiff penalties, but this doesn’t stop the wild activities that happen there.

#2 Follow the individual rules for the accommodation at the Cap

Depending on the accommodation chosen, there are different rules you need to stick to. For instance, sex is permitted at the pools at the Jardin d’Eden and Jardin de Babylone hotels and there needn’t be an advertised party taking place for this to happen. The rules may be completely different at pools in other hotels and facilities. J

At the René Oltra camp site in particular, make sure not to wear any intimate jewellery or perform any sexual activities in public. Families with children are also taking their normal naturist holidays there, so risqué appearance and behaviour will be given short shrift, and rightly so. Offenders may be quickly expelled from the site.

Tip: Before travelling, find out the go’s and no-go’s on your accommodation’s website.

#3 Stick to the dress code at Cap d’Agde

Nudity is required during the day

The dress code in the Village Naturiste is limited to typical naturism. The “naked truth” is mandatory on the main beach as long as the weather is good. This is the only area in the resort with this restriction. Naturism is optional but recommended in the residential areas. In practice, some people go about the resort naked during the day. However, many wear short sarongs, chic slip-on shoes and slightly risqué clothing, naturally also when shopping and in the café, etc.

In the evening it gets racy

It is normal for almost all guests to dine in clubwear at Cap d’Agde. Of course, erotic outfits are also expected in discos, bars and clubs: women must wear heels and skirts should be as short as possible. Men must be well dressed in long fabric trousers and a shirt. If these minimum requirements are not met, entry will be refused to the overcrowded locations (at least during high season).

Cap d’Agde is a shopping paradise

The selection of shops at the resort is so great that you will quickly find whatever you are looking for. Clubbing outfits, beachwear, high heels: everything the heart desires, and at very reasonable prices. Otherwise, beyond naturism the dress code is a mix of classic, elegant, sexy and fetish – there are no limits to your fantasies. And anyone who has already been to a swingers’ club will quickly find their feet.

#4 Observe the strict ban on photography in the Village Naturiste

Taking photos and filming other Cap visitors is absolutely taboo. You will find the corresponding prohibition signs throughout the entire naturist resort. Smartphones have supposedly ended up in the sea every now and then due to non-compliance.

#5 In general, you should behave appropriately

As anywhere on the swinger scene, the usual rule applies: “No means no!” It goes without saying that you should generally behave decently – just like you would at home. That way, nothing can go wrong. Because even though Cap is a very indulgent place, you should keep in mind that it is first and foremost a naturist village. There are many French families with children at the resort and on the family beach.
